Queens Park Apartments
A project undertaken at Tigg Coll Architects. Georgios led the design of this development, up to the planning approval stage.

The brief from the client was to redevelop the site and demolish the existing block of 10 apartments, in order to maximise the use of the site. A new-built development of 19 apartments, with one-bed, two-bed and three-bed apartments, was approved by the local authorities.

The development has been designed in such a way to emphasize the corner of the junction. The materials have been carefully selected so that they match the neighbouring properties. The brick is referencing the brick colour of the neighbouring properties, while the metal cladding is referencing the natural slate finish of the neigh-bouring properties.

The design evolved by creating bays with balconies, which referenced the traditional bay windows of the neighbouring properties along the street, and the position of south facing primary outlook for each apartment.
